Initial needs assessment

With Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) capabilities on-staff, P&P can assist in assessing your complete needs. Our approach will look at not only your immediate applications but will also take into account future applications, future growth of your organisation and possible technology changes which would impact your cabling needs. Considerations like type of equipment, load balancing and redundancy will be factored into our cost/benefit analysis.

For external copper, coaxial and fibre networks P&P works closely with their client to establish their individual needs and targets with a view of tailoring design towards effective operation and meeting budget targets for large roll-out projects.

Site Surveys

P&P technicians are available to conduct comprehensive site surveys to accurately assess the layout and conditions impacting the environment. Factors such as structural layout of the facility, building codes and safety and physical security issues are among the conditions that will be incorporated into the final design. Critical data gathered in the site survey will be incorporated into the final site management plan.

Site surveys can be carried out for major network clients to ascertain way leave and access issues prior to providing detailed network designs in accordance with individual specifications.

Complex Network / System Design

Your network will be designed by an RCDD or other appropriately qualified engineer with many years of complex design experience with various types of network and cabling solutions, both internal and external.

Our designs include state of the art components integrated in conjunction with the latest design specifications and requirements. Our infrastructure design capabilities range across a broad spectrum of commercial applications including large data centres, multi-building campus environments, commercial airports, hospitals, hotels as well as many traditional external networks including CATV, Copper and FFTX.

Cabling Installation

We can install a wide variety of transmission media including copper, fibre optic, twisted pair, baseband and broadband as well as associated components. We also install a variety of wireless applications including 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g cameras, Wife VoIP.

We have specialised in external network installation including CATV, Copper and fibre networks, sometimes a deployment of all three together, most recently fibre to the home roll-out (FTTH) based on the principal of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks)

Testing

P&P tests and certifies all of our installations to meet or exceed industry standards, meet all of the manufacturer’s specifications as well as meet all the warranty requirements.

Maintenance and Response
P&P can support your cable plant for the entire life cycle of the installation. Our experience ranges from maintenance and emergency response for entire national networks to Small Hotel entertainment systems and single office floors.
